The Green Bowler

Clarke Slemon authors a periodic Blog (Web Log) in which he poses interesting questions and challenges the imagination of readers with oblique observations about the sport of lawn bowling.

This month Clarke provides some personal ideas about choosing which types of bowls to purchase based mainly upon the surface conditions where they will be used. New and experienced bowlers will be interested in this discussion.

Question of the Month

Errant Bowl

For September:
Who pays the women who can be seen regularly weeding the flower gardens in front of our clubhouse?

From August:
If an errant bowl crosses the rink boundary and dislodges the jack on the neighbouring rink, the jack is replaced as close as possible to its original location as determined by the two skips.
