A calendar is provided for each of the six months of the current club year. Check to see what is around the corner. Scroll on to plan ahead by checking the dates of future activities so that you will be sure not miss anything that you would like to attend. Special events are explained more fully at the bottom of each calendar.

Abbreviations Employed on Calendars:

The following abbreviations are used within calendars:

B/L = Bring Lunch

Open Bowling = The green is available to members to practise individually or set up informal games. See Open Bowling!

Mixed Draw = A draw of members present (both male and female) will be held at the designated time.

Sponsor = Individuals or Companies that have made donations to the club often, for designated events.

Teams = Members makeup their own teams prior to the event and place the names of the participants on the posted sheet.

Sinner' League:

For those members who choose not to attend church services a mixed draw will be held each Sunday morning at 9:45 am.

Terrific Tuesdays:

Terrific Tuesdays will be held on August 1st, 15th, 22nd, and 29th. Starting at 6:45 pm these days, interesting and novel events will be held to help bowlers refine their abilities. Light refreshments and original prizes will be offered following play. The Women's Club Singles will take over for August 8th. See Terrific Tuesdays!

Simcoe Day Celebrations:

Monday August 7th is the date set aside for our annual Simcoe Day Tournament. This is an in club tournament with a mixed draw starting at 9:45 am. A Pot Luck Lunch is part of the celebration. See the sign up sheet on the bulletin board early to ensure that the dish that you prepare will be unique.

Barbara Choffe Memorial Tournament:

The Barbara Choffe Memorial Tournament will be held on Saturday, August 12th starting at 9:45 am. The Choffe Family is sponsoring this event and the prize money will be substantially augmented. Bring a lunch for this two twelve-end games with a lunch break between. There will be an opportunity to learn a little more about one of our former members.

Women's Club Singles:

The club's annual women's singles competition will be held on Tuesday August 8th this year. The competition will again be held in the evening starting at 6:30. All ladies are encouraged to sign up regardless of bowling experience!

Centennial Summer Social:

Save The Date ~ Friday August 18th! This evening a special catered dinner is planned to celebrate 100 years of bowling at the club. This non-bowling evening will feature highlights from the club's past with memorabilia displayed and past achievements noted. This will give you a chance to talk with present and past members in a social setting. There is no charge for this exciting evening and scuptuous meal!

Summer Ladder:

The second Summer Ladder series will begin on Wednesday, August 9th. For seven consecutive weeks this ladder competition will take place commencing at 6:15 p.m.. Bowlers will start afresh as the ranking from the previous ladder will be ignored and all members are welcomed to join in. This set of evenings sees dynamic teams with members that have higher and lower ranking combining. Teams will change as the ranking system evolves. Players of all levels are welcome to join. Sign up as an individual on the sheet posted on the events board in the clubhouse. There is a $5 one-time fee which will all be returned in prizes at the end of the series.

Pizza & Play Fridays:

Our Pizza and Play Fridays continue on August 4th and 18th. For a low cost of $6.00 participants can stop for a mid game pizza meal and social period. A draw for rink competitors in a game of "4, 3, 2, 1"will take place at 6:15 pm. See Pizza and Play Fridays!

Sunshine Boys:

On Monday August 15th the Sunshine Boys will be visiting our club. Teams of three from neighbouring clubs travel around and compete in a series of events. The activities commence at 9:00 am and spectators are encouraged to attend.

100th Anniversary Invitational Tournament:

Festivities continue in the celebration of 100 years of club bowling on Saturday August 19th. Invitations have been extended to neighbouring lawn bowling clubs to send teams to this Remax sponsored event.

Men's Club Pairs:

The Men's Club Pairs Tournament will be held on two consecutive Thursdays starting 6:30 pm, August 10th and 17th. Interested club members should sign the list posted on the club bulleting board to enter this event.

Men's Club Singles:

The Men's Club Singles Tournament will begin with a draw for initial opponents on August 24th. This is a knock-out or elimination tournament with oponents arranging for games between one another at a mutually convenient time and date during open bowling. Sign up on the list posted on the club bulletin board.
